There's something tangibly striking about a sci-fi warrior rocking futuristic medieval weapons. Star Wars' Lightsabers are a bit more Samurai, but grounded in old-fashioned, up close and personal warfare just the same. Bows are best from a range, like guns, but the human-powered twang of an arrow feels more personal than your average laser-rifle blast. Explosive arrows don't hurt, either... unless you're on the receiving end. Crysis 3 gets a special mention for introducing a bow that not only feels great, but captures all the look and feel of Prophet's style - and comes touting a couple notable accessories. When you see Mr. Nanosuit in a hero-pose, bow in hand, you wonder where the iconic weapon has been all series... and that feeling only grows when you try a few specialty arrows. Thermite shots will obviously explode, Electro rounds are fairly self-explanatory, and the air-burst, Fragmentation-Tips qualify as the sawed-off shotgun of arrows, while standard arrow fare can simply be retrieved from dead bodies. Also, when you're being stealthy, arrow-shooting won't break your cloak or use any energy, so the strong and silent types of gamer will always have an edge with Prophet's bow.
