Console gaming isn't all about AAA shooters and cutting-edge, cinematic adventures. Transistor is a brilliant little game by Supergiant Games, best known for sleep hit Bastion. Set in a weird, colourful sci-fi world, Transistor is a wonderfully made action RPG that resists comparisons to any other in the genre. The gameplay is a lot of fun, rewarding plays that think before they charge into battle. It's the audio and visuals that really make Transistor though, as the pulsating electronic soundtrack brings the bold world to life. In fact, Darren Korb's fantastic music is arguably the main attraction of Transistor, weaving together a palpable atmosphere that totally immerses you into the bizarre world of Cloudbank.
