Forza's arrival on the Xbox One turned out to be a bit of a controversial one - Forza 5 was lacking in content and many were aggrieved by the presence of micro-transactions. Still, the gameplay was phenomenal and that helped shape one of the best titles currently available on Xbox One - Forza Horizon 2. The follow-up to Playground Games' Forza spin-off, Horizon 2 is the driving game for those who don't want to obsess over racing lines or tyre pressures. Horizon shifts the Forza series onto the streets with open-world gameplay and on the Xbox One, it looks incredible. Horizon 2's fictional version of Southern Europe is beautiful and your ridiculously gorgeous (and expensive) cars gleam in the sunlight in a breathtaking manner. It's not all about the sun though - the rain effects are among the best seen in any game. All of this is backed up by some phenomenally fun gameplay which encourages the player to drive fast and hard regularly. Every aspect of Forza has been finetuned here to generate fun - drifting is easier and more satisfying; your car doesn't spin out as soon as it touches another; and off-roading is always a challenge, thanks to unpredictable bounces and a lack of grip. Horizon is the fun, crazier sibling of the Forza family and the second instalment is a genuine must-have for all of Microsoft's console owners.
