10 MORE Video Game Trophy Stats You Won't Believe
10. Over 50% Of Players Didn't Beat Bloodborne's First Mandatory Boss, But 25% Beat The Last Boss
It's always fun to look at the trophies for FromSoftware games, because they routinely indicate that while there's a high number of players who will bounce off their challenging action titles in short order, there's also a dedicated chunk who will see it through to the end no matter what.
And this is certainly true of Bloodborne, where 55.5% of players never even beat the first mandatory boss, Father Gascoigne. While that might lead you to believe the game's overall completion rate would be ludicrously low, that's not quite true.
As it turns out, an impressive 24.9% of players have beaten the game's last necessary boss, Mergo's Wet Nurse. This would be a fair completion rate for any challenging game, but Bloodborne? Yeesh.
Basically, we can infer from this that if you stuck with the game long enough to beat Father Gascoigne, there was a solid change you were all in for the long haul.
And of course, we can't entirely ignore that Bloodborne was given away for "free" on PS+, likely ensuring that many casual players jumped in, messed around for 30 minutes, couldn't get into the game, and then promptly dipped before they even reached Father Gascoigne, let alone were able to kick his ass.
