10 Obscure Gaming Clues That Explained Confusing Moments
10. How Strong Is Cal Kestis? - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
The Confusing Moment
Power levels are admittedly a major bone of contention among fans in almost every major fantasy/superhero franchise, and Star Wars is certainly no exception.
But in video games, no Star Wars character's power has been more aggressively debated than that of Jedi: Fallen Order's protagonist Cal Kestis, who over the course of the game becomes a mighty Jedi Knight in his own right. Yet the full extent of his powers is left relatively ambiguous.
On one hand he didn't finish his Padawan training and couldn't put up much of a fight against Darth Vader at the end of the game (understandably so), but on the other he defeated Jedi-hunting Inquisitors Ninth Sister and Second Sister, and even Jedi Master Taron Malicos (albeit with a little help from Merrin).
Granted you'll just give yourself a headache looking for much consistency among Force-capable characters in Star Wars, but the game does subtly suggest roughly where Cal is at.
The Clue
At the meditation screen you're able to view Cal's skill tree illuminated on the floor, and if you look closely the tree extends far into the distance.
This effectively confirms Cal's power to be at an intermediate level - accomplished considering his relatively short journey so far, but nowhere near the level of a Jedi Master.
It's a smart, subtle visual indication that Cal still has much to learn, and that the recently-confirmed sequel will surely put him on a path to becoming one of the most legendary Jedi in the universe.
