Release date: 2016 Castle Crashers was one of the greatest indie games of the last generation, and on the frontline of making indies the major market force they are today. Now, its developer Behemoth is lining up another game that looks similar on the face of things, but has a completely different gameplay system underlying it. Pit People is a vibrant, delightfully colourful RPG with a tactical turn-based combat system. You can play through the game solo or co-operatively, choosing your hero and party of characters based on six different classes. The game looks cute, bloody, and deceptively tactical; a massive contrast to the hack-n-slashy Castle Crashers. It sounds fantastic too, with characters talking in a strange, comical language, and epic orchestral music accompanying the battles. Fans of Battleblock Theater will also be happy to hear that the excellent Will Stamper returns to narrate Pit People.
