10 Video Game TV Shows HBO Should Make After The Last Of Us

2. Red Dead Redemption

Quite frankly, there's a dramatic lack of quality cowboy content available right now. With all the Deadwood and Justified-type shows fully wrapped up, Western fans need some new content to fill the void. Well, as anyone who has played through the series can tell you, Red Dead Redemption would be an excellent addition to the live-action Westerns of this coming decade.

Red Dead Redemption is a classic Western tale of revenge, clearly inspired by the likes of The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly and more. It refuses to simply be that though, telling a story of cowboys near the end of their life cycle, facing the growing modern age and being forced to decide where their place in the world is. Each installment in the series is chockful of memorable characters, thoughtful dialogue, and plenty of good ol' fashioned shootouts.

Red Dead's world is rich and full of history. Regardless of whether potential showrunners had their own stories to tell or if they wanted to utilize excellent leads like John Marston and Arthur Morgan, any creative will have plenty of content available to fill out several seasons.

As long as the production team is committed to bringing the world of Red Dead to life on a Westworld-type level, the creatives and on-camera talent will have plenty of superb source material to utilize.
