In my head, General RAAM was a major part of the first Gears of War.

He's certainly the lead villain - outside of the Queen Myrrah reveal - and opens the game by appearing out of nowhere and killing Lieutenant Kim.

At the time, Young Me didn't mind as Kim was talking down to my beloved Marcus Fenix beforehand, but that was besides the point: General RAAM's status as Big Bad was cemented, and he'd surely be breathing down our necks for the rest of the campaign.

Except he doesn't.

General RAAM kills Kim and the crew talk about him being a huge deal amongst the Locust, but then he sits out the rest of the story altogether until the very last fight, when he pops back up on the Tyro Pillar train for the final fight.

RAAM doesn't even have any lines, outside of wretching his way through a "Diiiiie" every now and then.

We still love you though, big guy.
