4. Edgar Ross - Red Dead Redemption

The ending of Red Dead Redemption is an iconic moment in gaming, seeing John's story end with a surprise shootout against agent Edgar Ross and his men, in which the outlaw loses his life.

When you play Red Dead Redemption for the first time, the moment hits you like a truck, and it doesn't help that Ross's scheme to execute John happens so suddenly.

However, pretty much every bit of dialogue between John and Edgar as they work together has some hidden message about the agent's ultimate plan.
