10 Worst Unskippable Gaming Cutscenes You’ll See Hundreds Of Times
2. Max Payne 3
With a nearly ten year gap between entries, many thought that there would never be another instalment in the Max Payne franchise before the release of Max Payne 3 in 2012. Rockstar came back with a bang though, releasing a title that more than did justice to the franchise, combining exciting gameplay with the Tarantino-esque story.
And it should be said, the fact that this game is featured on this list is not necessarily an indictment of the cutscenes, the voice acting is fantastic and it serves the story well, allowing the player to really understand the motivations of those involved. However, if I'm playing through the for the second, or third, time, the last thing I want to do is to be subjected to the same sensory-overloading cinematics without any way of skipping right through to the gameplay.
