12 Best FPS Multiplayer Maps Of All Time

10. Wake Island - Battlefield Series

With its skewed 'U' shape and sequential arrangement of capture points neatly positioned along a path going round the map, you'd think at first glance that Wake Island was a bit on the simplistic side. But then you just have to remind yourself that this is Battlefield, and that assaults can take place from air, sea and land, suddenly every making every capture point as vulnerable as the next. You could swim a boat across the bay between the first and last capture points, plough into villages head-on in a tank, or take your squad in through the foliage round the sides and infiltrate capture points that way. Despite its narrow layout, the foliage surrounding the roads makes for plenty of ambush opportunities, ensuring that vehicles don't feel overpowered. It's extremely unconventional, and yet it just 'works', which is why it's continued reappearing throughout the series due to fan demand.
