At this point, waiting for any bit of new regarding The Last Guardian has started to become a joke. Having been in development since 2007, Team Ico's next big title remains elusive to gamers around the world. Due to the critical acclaim of their previous titles Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, any bit of information whatsoever of The Last Guardian would be nice to have. The game was initially set to release on PlayStation 3 back in 2011, but that year has come and gone, and even the smallest bit of new gameplay would settle the fans down. The odds are stacked mighty high on this becoming a reality, but if Team Ico were to announce that not only was The Last Guardian guaranteed to come out later this year, but they also plan on releasing a prologue level to demonstrate their newest title, that would get gamers rejoicing. In a perfect world, the prologue level would be free on PlayStation Plus, and it would help increase the hype that is currently dissipating. Any bit of information is better than nothing at all, and The Last Guardian may be on its last legs in terms of being taken seriously in the gaming community. What other upcoming games do you feel could benefit from having prologue levels sold separately? Or do you hate the idea of prologue levels entirely? Leave an answer in the comment section below.
