1. Dracula - The Count (VIC 20)

Dracula for the VIC 20 was a text only adventure game for the rudimentary computer platform released in 1980. Needless to say, you never actually see Dracula in the game. Maybe it's better this way, after all, monsters are only as scary as the imaginations of those watching make them out to be. Perhaps just reading about Dracula coming after you in an interactive adventure where you desperately try to figure out what commands to type as the vampire draws nearer is incredibly scarier than any movie could ever be. Perhaps. Or maybe you should all be thankful video game technology has taken a millennial leap in the last thirty years granting more entertaining ways to waste your time.
