13 Crucial Questions For 2017's Biggest Video Games
2. Has David Cage Finally Learned From His Mistakes? - Detroit: Become Human
The Question: David Cage is an ambitious game director, albeit one who often allows his reach to exceed his grasp. His games are cinematic, yet frequently end up contrived and laughable (especially when it comes to finales), and he has a nasty habit of hiring poor voice actors (Heavy Rain even had French actors desperately trying to sound American).
Despite making most of these mistakes again and again, will Cage finally learn his lesson and shake off those bad habits with his fourth interactive drama title to date?
The Likely Answer: Absolutely not. Cage has his way of working and considering the success of these games so far, he probably doesn't see much reason to change the way he operates.
While the quality of the performances is basically just a roll of the dice, it's best to go into this game expecting some rickety storytelling in its later stages. If you're prepared to accept some silliness, it'll probably still be a fun experience, like his previous games.
