We all understand why Sony have their musical breaks and why other companies use them as well. They need time to prepare for the next portion and need something to keep the audience entertained. And whilst the music is very good and beautiful, it doesn't change the fact that people come to see games.

That five-minute musical interlude could have been used to let an indie developer talk about their project whilst the big guns get ready backstage. There could be a slideshow of games that are coming out soon. Anything to give the waiting gaming community something to talk about.
