9. Being Too Similar To The Original - Splatoon 2
Splatoon 2 is hitting the Nintendo Switch later this year, and as fun as it looks, it's hard to escape the feeling that it will end up being too similar to the 2015 Wii U original. Will this result in less-than-stellar reviews and players who just don't respond to it?
How Likely Is It?: It's possible, but it works heavily in the game's favour that the Wii U sold so horribly, and so millions of Nintendo fans never actually got the chance to play the original game for themselves.
This allows Nintendo to release an extremely similar follow-up for the Switch and get away with it, and though there are sure to be those Wii U owners who take exception to such a tactic, for the majority of Switch owners, it won't be a problem at all. Critics will probably be a little more measured in their praise, but it'll do fine. 5/10
