14 Incredible Video Game Stories You'll Never Stop Discussing

5. The Walking Dead Season 1

Season two of the episodic series just wasn't as tight as the first, but back when Telltale games launched their original batch of episodes the pressure was totally off, freeing them up to take us on an incredibly intense ride across some of the most harrowing decisions we'd ever have to make in a game. There are way too many individual choices to mention here, as depending on how you portrayed main-man Lee you'll have drastically different outcomes to things like rationing out food amongst survivors, or how willing you were to hack off someone's leg when a horde of zombies was approaching. With a solid narrative drive (something that was missing from season two) including young girl Clem and the hunt for her parents, when a hidden thread throughout makes itself known and you find yourself face-to-face with an unknown adversary, the sense that developers Telltale had been pulling your puppet-strings the entire time was sensational.
