14. Sully And Young Drake (Drake's Deception)

Sully and Drake's father/son dynamic has always been the heart of the Uncharted franchise. While yes, Elena has always been there throughout the series and Sam was kind of crowbarred in right at the end there, Sully has been your constant source of world-weariness and the unlikely voice of reason throughout every game in the franchise.

But that bond would be nowhere near as important to the series or its fans if it wasn't for the much-needed flashback sequences in Uncharted 3. While these sections were unfortunately criticised (playing as young Drake is nowhere near as enjoyable as it was in the fourth game), the story beats showing how Sully came to adopt his, at first unwanted, role as Drake's surrogate father provided for some of the most poignant scenes of that entire gaming generation.

So while the last-minute inclusion of Sam in the most recent game has somewhat taken away from Sully's importance in shaping Drake into the man he'd eventually become, it doesn't stop these sequences in Uncharted 3 from being some of the best the whole series has to offer.
