Even though Elena and Drake are little more than caricatures and stereotypes in the first game, the voice-acting and banter between the two completely stole the hearts of anyone who made it to the end of Drake's Fortune.

And so when Uncharted 2 kicks off with a newly single Drake and no Elena in sight, by the time the latter is introduced half way through the game you're practically screaming at them to get back together. Even as the two bicker and argue (and even almost die), a classic action romp like this has to end with the guy and girl back together, right?

Yet the best moment isn't Elena's almost-death or seeing the two on-screen again for the first time in years, but the small innocuous interaction between the two just before the game cuts to black.

The two finally reconcile, and Elena jabs Drake over how scared he was that she was going to die as the title ends with the two laughing and looking out over the sunset. It's a beautiful moment, and it's a reminder that despite all the action and explosions, Uncharted has always been a series with a huge heart.
