7. Playing DMC3 Like DMC 5 - Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition

Capcom

An overlooked bit of sheer consumer-friendly design, Capcom's re-release of Devil May Cry 3 on Switch went above and beyond when it came to what fans expected.

Where DMC 3 was already held up as the best in the series before the immaculate 5 came along, this Special Edition retroactively added in DMC 4 and 5's weapon and ability-switching features. Though it might not sound like much, this idea of speccing Dante with a weapon, firearm and special move used to be done in between every mission. You were forever swapping; committing to specific loadouts just to unlock every weapon and stance's full moveset.

Well, no more. Like in DMC 4 and 5, 3's Dante is now a MONSTER of combo opportunity. Start with sword swipes and launchers, switch to your triple-nunchaku to keep an enemy aloft, then change Dante's style altogether to aim at multiple other enemies with twin pistols.

Adding these features is pure fan wish fulfilment, and it narrows the ranking of DMC 3 vs 5 all over again.
