4. Assassin's Creed: Unity

"The next generation starts here" said Ubisoft, yet little did they know that a game riddled with bugs, delayed patches and broken features would be such an encapsulation of what was to come.

Still, AC: Unity was far more broken than the rest.

With facial textures not loading in and producing nightmarish results, to identikit missions we'd already done a thousand times before, animations being recycled from the past six games and a frame rate that was determined to never leave single digits, Unity very quickly went on to embody the broken promises of this ongoing generation in every respect.

Here's to 2017.
