It's that time again where although these closing months are positively bursting with incredible games to play (Battlefield 1, Mafia 3, XCOM 2 and World of Final Fantasy to name but four), 2017 is right around the corner.

Now, the gaming industry thrives on hype, expectation and looking to the future, which is why you'll already be more than acquainted with the likes of Horizon: Zero Dawn, South Park: The Fractured But Whole and, of course, Red Dead Redemption 2.

But what about those sequels the developers and publishers are attempting to keep under wraps?

We can't have that, not in this age of social media, online CVs and interview slip-ups, now can we? To that end, buckle up, because 2017 is setting itself up to be pretty damn special.

All it takes to rumble a future announcement in the games industry is one rogue CV posting. It happened with Fallout 4, and again with Insomniac's Spider-Man from E3 2016.

However, one of the latest games that is all but officially confirmed is Devil May Cry 5, thanks to showing up on voice actor Nils Hognestad's online portfolio.

It's since been taken down, but you can view a screengrab below.

Hognestad quickly got out ahed of the press and stated that this listing was the result of a booking rather than an audition, but being he'll be under embargo when working on the game anyway, he'd have to say such things to keep the project relatively secret.

With DMC 4 being released way back in 2008, and only the divisive (hopefully one-off) reboot in 2013, Dante is more than overdue a return in a fully numbered instalment.
