But just in case; Gallipoli is the fourth entry in BlackMill’s WW1 military simulation series which is, at the very least, divisive. This is true of its quality, with some players critiquing the lack of optimisation in prior entries but many still having a good enough time with it to put them all three in the “very positive” reviews category.

But they’re also divisive because they’re simply not for everyone. This is a milsim franchise for milsim fans, with extreme authenticity that is in stark contrast of the many fast, fluid FPS game that make you feel powerful. But if you love the grime of the trenches, bolt-action rifles and the threat of a single errant shot taking you down you’ll probably vibe with all of the games.

Gallipoli is the latest effort, telling gritty battles from the Ottoman Fronts of the Great War with a variety of locations, time-accurate weapons and a focus on team-based combat.
