16 Video Games That Would Make Perfect Animated Movies

13. Kid Icarus

After a groundswell of support following his appearance as a revitalized character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Pit returned to a starring role in Kid Icarus Uprising in 2012. The result was nothing short of a licensing agent's dream. Our young hero returned to action with much more than a bow and arrow in hand; rather, he had a virtual armory of different weapons and tools at his disposal. Combined with the awesome vehicles he can take control of, he has as many options at his disposal (maybe more) as Batman, but without all the inherent angst. The characters also offer lots of entertaining and informative dialogue throughout, thanks to a script that is better thought out than attaching inane sound clips to common actions. This one might have ranked higher, but truth be told, it feels like an animated film might actually hinder the franchise's potential. While it could be done, it's instead far easier to imagine each chapter of Kid Icarus Uprising being adapted into a television series.
