20 Clever Video Game Easter Eggs You Didn't Understand
2. Venus De Milo - Red Dead Redemption 2
By now, everyone is well-aware of the level of detail and attention that Rockstar devs put into Red Dead Redemption 2. The game is filled with so many Easter eggs and special interactions that it's actually harder to find locations that DON'T have any secrets, but some of them, like this hidden reference to one of the most famous pieces of art in the world, might take a little more than a keen eye to find.
In the city of Saint Denis, you can spot a lot of classical-looking statues around the parks and the streets. Most of them are there only for decor, but one of these statues, resembling a beautiful woman with braided hair, can actually be destroyed. And not just in any random fashion either.
Shooting at the statue's arms will actually cause them to fall off, and when you examine the sculpture in this damaged state, you can notice that it looks exactly like the famous Venus de Milo, right down to the cracks in its missing arms.
It's a brilliant little detail, with a reference to classical art of all things, so it deserves all the recognition it can get.
After all, someone had to sculpt the damage on the statue to look the same as the original, for Pete's sake.
