20 Cult-Classics Trapped On Old Consoles

8. Deadpool

Just when I think Deadpool can’t get any more popular, I get humbled. I’m not ashamed to admit that this has happened 3 different times. When the Deadpool game originally came out in 2013, I thought, “Wow, this is it, he won’t get bigger than this!”. Then the first movie came out 3 years later, and I thought, “he won’t get bigger than this!”. Then the second movie came out and blew all expectations out of the water, and then the third movie came out and made a billion dollars at the box office.

Deadpool is the character that just won’t quit, literally. No matter what gets thrown at him, he just keeps coming back, which is why it’s a shame that his video game has been delisted from all digital storefronts and is trapped on the systems it released on.

I’m not going to risk saying, “This is the biggest his character will be, imagine the money his game will make”, because knowing my luck, his next appearance will make him even more popular. I’m not making that mistake again. But with the popularity of his character, it’s a shame that Activision lost the rights to Deadpool, seemingly confirming we’ll never see another re-release of this game.

Also, the price of a physical copy of this game is starting to get a little silly, so a new digital re-release will receive a big ole thank you from my wallet.
