20 Dumb Video Game Restrictions Players Hated
18. Can't Carry More Than Two Weapons - Bioshock: Infinite
Bioshock Infinite is one of the most beloved games of 2013, and even to this day it holds a special place within the gaming industry as a whole, still considered one of the greatest first-person shooters of all time.
However, all this praise doesn’t save the game from fans complaining about its bizarre gun restriction.
Unlike the original BioShock and BioShock 2, which allow you to carry all of your arsenal on you at all times, BioShock Infinite limits you to carrying only two guns at once.
The decision is often seen as more immersive, since obviously one person wouldn’t haul an entire armory’s worth of weapons around, but from a gameplay perspective the limitation can get pretty annoying.
Because of the gun limit, you have to commit to two specific weapons at every stage of the game. The game incentivizes you to not experiment with new weapons out of fear of losing your current ones or not finding enough ammo for replacements, leading to some pretty repetitive gameplay as time goes on.
Some may enjoy the tactical aspect of carefully choosing your two guns, but overall, the limit is frustrating for those looking for more diverse gameplay.
