Despite coming relatively early in the game, Whitney is easily the most difficult boss of any Pokémon game; Goldenrod Citys Gym Leader and that horrendous rollout being the source of PTSD-flashbacks to this day. In the boss battle, Whitney uses a level 18 Clefairy and the least likely overpowered creature in gaming history a level 20 Miltank. The Clefairy is easy enough to deal with but, at a relatively early stage in the game, that damned Miltank far too much, too young. You can go into the battle with a party of Pokémon all of which out-level the killer cow and you will still probably get decimated. The Miltank has incredible defence and utilises its rollout attack to literally roll over even your most battle-hardened of Pokémon. As the rollout intensifies, your hands will become more and more sweaty clasping your Gameboy as you realise that once again defeat is imminent. Even if you somehow managed to get Whitneys blasted cow down to dangerously low health, it would just have some of its handy milk drink to restore a chunk of health. The image of this insanely powerful cow suckling on its own teat is one of the more bizarre in the diverse world of Pokémon.
