20. Golduck

We'll kick our list off with the evolution of one of the TV series' biggest running jokes. Golduck, evolved from the unfortunate Psyduck, is solely a water type with a good Speed and pretty mean Special Attack stat. Pick one up with a beneficial nature, however, and you'll also see a boosted Special Defence that can turn Golduck into a real warrior.

Golduck also has the benefit of a number of Psychic type attacks, but without the dual-type weaknesses. Able to learn the likes of Confusion and Psychic, Golduck is a great way to get some strong ranged attacks into your team without inviting extra weaknesses to Dark or even more popular Ghost types.
