There is definitely a learning curve to most of its gameplay elements, from the available classes to the progression of individual missions, so the more you play, the better you will do.

However, no amount of practice can prepare you for one of the unluckiest situations in the game—the stuck extractor.

Each mission in Deep Rock Galactic requires you and your team to return to an extractor that drops in a random location upon completing all of your objectives. The thing is, sometimes the randomness of this drop point is off the charts.

Any veteran Deep Rock player can tell you of the curse of the stuck extractor. Every now and then, the game drops an extractor in a place where, instead of providing you with a comfortable place of return, the machine gets stuck on a high point of a giant pit.

At that point, your simple task of making it back becomes a deadly uphill battle with ever-depleting resources, gravity, and the ever-ravenous hordes of bugs, possibly failing an otherwise flawless mission.
