4. Judas

Judas is the next, long-gestating project from BioShock creator Ken Levine and his studio Ghost Story Games - a first-person immersive sim set aboard a spaceship that's carrying the last remnants of humanity to Proxima Centauri.

Though society is largely governed by computers, protagonist Judas manages to break free from their control, leading a revolution onboard the ship with dangerous consequences.

Levine has designed the game to have high replay value, meaning that two playthroughs can be incredibly different depending on the choices players make and the order in which the story elements unfold.

He also promised a more challenging experience than the BioShock games and a tone similar to his System Shock 2.

Though Judas was officially unveiled in 2022, it was conceptualised by Levine way back in 2014, and yet with so little concrete information about it recently, it seems like we're still a ways off from playing it. 

Hopefully all this waiting will be more than worth it in the end.
