19. Alien: Isolation 2

A sequel to beloved survival horror game Alien: Isolation was first announced in 2024, and at this past Summer Games Fest we finally got a substantial update on what to expect.

Among other things, we learned that that Alien: Isolation 2 apparently has a new protagonist - a member of a Weyland-Yutani survey team by the name of Blake.

But fans and journalists alike are already plenty suspicious about the conspicuous absence of prior protagonist Amanda Ripley, some even speculating that Blake may be a decoy character who is killed off early in the game, after which we switch to Amanda.

If nothing else it'd be a fun way to echo the plot of Aliens, by having Blake die a few hours in and then have Ripley sent in to investigate.

This all said, the most truly surprising outcome would be Amanda Ripley not physically appearing in the game at all, which just seems hugely unlikely.
