20 Weirdest Licensed Video Games EVER

8. Blues Brothers 2000

To this day, Blues Brothers 2000 remains one of cinema's most unwanted and much maligned sequels. Following up a comedy classic is a tall order to begin with but when with the death of its co-star John Belushi looming over it, it was certainly a bold decision and the general consensus is that it wasn't worth the effort - and the same is often said about its ill-fated video game adaptation released for the N64.

Given that the original Blues Brothers film is fondly remembered for the iconic car-chase and pile-up sequence during its finale. So naturally, one would assume that any game based on the property would be a fast-paced, race and chase sort of affair with plenty of vehicular mayhem to keep players engaged.

So imagine everyone's surprise when a whopping two years after the film's release, we were given was a sluggish platformer that bore very little resemblance to the iconic characters signature shenanigans. Each level sees you take control of one of the brothers and navigate poorly designed arenas in the hopes to rescuing your fellow Blues Brothers so you can reunite and perform in a local battle of the bands competition.

Much like the film that inspired it, you have to wonder what motivated them to make it.
