For sheer theatrical bombast and Shakespearean flair you just can't beat The Legacy of Kain games, and it remains a crying shame that a rich cast of characters so expertly-voiced and realised have seemingly disappeared into thin air; as an online-only shooter-melee-hybrid doesn't count as a continuation of anything. Kain himself is a crumbling mass of muscle in the Soul Reaver games, having hunted for decades to establish his vampiric order.
