11. Music Festival Season! (Summer)

One of the best things about the summer is music festival season. Whether you're into chart music (V Festival), metal (Bloodstock), dance (Bestival), rock (Download, Reading, Leeds, Warped Tour, Rock Am Ring etc), or a bizarre mixture of the lot (Coachella, Glastonbury), there's a festival for everyone's tastes. Though most big music festivals these days cost about the price of a small holiday once you factor in the tickets, camping fees, travel to the site and food and drinking money for the three or four days you're there, they're also arguably the best way to enjoy music, amid a sea of humanity in some (hopefully) gorgeous British summer weather. Honestly, is there a worthier pursuit over the summer than rocking out the shorts, drinking yourself into a stupor at times otherwise reserved for alcoholics, and stumbling between different live acts for 12 hours a day? Whatever your tastes, it's stupidly fun.
