50 Essential Star Wars Games You Must Play

45. Star Wars: Obi-Wan (2001) - Xbox

One of the early titles for the Xbox gaming console, this game features Obi-Wan Kenobi as a Padawan and takes place in the weeks prior to and during the events of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. The format would be perfected much later by Jedi Knight and TFU. On the surface this game had everything: strong ties to film canon, young Obi-Wan, a range of Force powers and the full experience of 3rd person lightsaber combat. What could possibly go wrong? The answer was everything. It is a bad game but an interesting one when you compare it to where we are now.

44. Star Wars: Masters Of Teräs Käsi (1997) - PlayStation

The ill-fated Tekken/Soul Blade game set in the SWEU idea. Darth Vader has summoned a warrior named Arden Lyn to destroy Luke and the Rebels in a fighting tournament. Set over the course of nine locations from the original Star Wars trilogy, Master of Teras Kasi lets you fight as familiar characters, such as Luke, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, a Tusken Raider, Boba Fett etc, but sadly, the controls are stiff and unresponsive. The animation is sub-par, keep in mind, this was the same time as the awesome Soul Blade. This is a must play to see how bad a Star Wars game can be.

43. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (2008) - Wii

Yes, I know this is kind of cheating, as TUF does appear much higher on my list, but playing TUF on the Wii is something new and unique. For the first time you could feel like you were wielding a lightsaber and using the Force via the Wii remotes. It is a completely different playing experience to that of the PS3 or Xbox. It still holds up as fun, and it also serves to illustrate the disappointment of Kinect Star Wars in 2012.

42. Star Wars: Episode I €“ Battle For Naboo (2000/01) - Nintendo 64, Windows

Battle for Naboo, the Nintendo 64 version of course, is the "spiritual sequel" to Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. Hailed with generally positive reviews; with a neat plot, responsive controls is an interesting take on its Episode I setting. The game's PC port was terrible with poor visuals and difficult controls. A good N64 title.

41. Star Wars: Episode III €“ Revenge of the Sith (2005) - PlayStation 2, Xbox

The best of all the movie tie-ins from the best of the prequels, this game allows you to fight through each action set piece of the film as Obi-Wan or Anakin. While still a tie-in it is worth the time and money. This above duel with Count Dooku is the highlight of the game.
