7. Solomon Grundy - Batman Arkham City/Knight

The moment that we were introduced to the mighty Solomon Grundy in Batman: Arkham City was something that divided the player base in two. On the one side, we had those cooing in wonder at the sheer size and heft of the chained gargantuan and who gripped their controller tightly in anticipation of a brilliant boss fight, and the other side who were ardent Batman fans who likely said something along the lines of

"Oh piss. This isn't good."

Solomon Grundy may have only gotten one appearance in the Batman franchise as a boss battle, but don't you dare go thinking that you've managed to fell the beast after the encounter. Now I know you might THINK that crushing the heart of a giant creature like it was a stress toy and you're...well...Batman would end Solomon's life for good, but there's just one problem.

The bloke can never die.

Cursed to rise from the grave, again and again, Solomon Grundy is one of the most terrifying DC villains ever, and while his origin and general existence might be something incredibly sad, it's the destruction he can cause that will really make you cry.

Therefore it made players shudder to their core when in Arkham Knight you could find a sort of ritual site with Solomon's picture at the center, confirming that either the beast is still alive and kicking, or that someone is looking for him to utilize his great strength.

Either way, Solomon is far from dead.
