9. "We're Here To Kill Chaos!" - Final Fantasy: Stranger Of Paradise Reveal

In what was one of the most memeable gaming reveals of 2021, Square Enix revealed earlier this year that they'd been collaborating with Team Ninja on a new take on the Final Fantasy series: Final Fantasy Origin: Stranger of Paradise.

Combining together the gameplay of Nioh with the lore and world of the original Final Fantasy game, Stranger of Paradise on paper sounds quite intriguing.

Its initial reveal, however, left a lot to be desired.

Firstly the game looked ROUGH. In a world where we expect shiny new graphics, this looked like a PS3-era title that had somehow crossed the gaps between generations.

Then there was the trailer. Oh boy....the trailer.

Starring three ridiculously-dressed (even for Final Fantasy standards) dudebros, the trailer was all about KILLING CHAOS. The main character was here to KILL CHAOS, and he wanted you to know about it. In fact, he said it so much in the trailer we ended up thinking that he couldn't say anything else.

As is to be expected, the trailer captured the minds of every gamer on the planet for a couple of weeks due to its sheer ridiculousness, and you could barely move on the internet without somehow shouting about KILLING CHAOS.
