4. The Chickens - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Something so hilarious many fans wish Bethesda had left it in, Skyrim's chickens were once the enemy of the player... because they reported your crimes.

Coming from a glitch in Skyrim's quest-generating "Radiant Story" system (where the game assigns various A.I. scripts and quests depending on where you've been and what you've not seen), it turns out the game's poultry population had been given the same crime awareness as actual humans.

Royally stumping the dev team after multiple reports, they did eventually patch it out, though to this day, people swear Skyrim's animals are watching your every move.
