As always seems to happen when a popular, main character from any franchise dies, fans were reluctant to accept that Resident Evil's Albert Wesker was indeed dead after Resident Evil 5.

A pro-life group of fans theorised that he actually survived and would be returning. Because there's nothing quite as indignant and stubborn as a fan who feels like they've been wronged emotionally. And to be fair, he was a great character.

The Rejection

Unfortunately for fans holding out for a return, Resident Evil series producer Masachika Kawata is having none of it: "Even if you want Albert Wesker to come back, there's no chance he's coming back from that."
