Some of the most intense and unsettling scenes in the entire Alien franchise consist of characters simply walking through hallways, staring at a motion tracker which will register any potential assailants coming their way. The signature graphics and beep are well-known to fans of the series, and frankly, it's been far too long since a new entry into the series has made use of it. This fits perfectly into a video game adaptation, such that other previous games have already implemented it. As a Marine exploring the various locations used in the films, a motion tracker should be present in the top-left corner of the screen at all times anyway, and when aliens approach, it should let off that signature beep, making it clear to all fans that something unpleasant is about to happen. If this doesn't make the cut, then that is a serious trick missed by Gearbox.
