Assassin's Creed: Ranking The Assassins From Worst To Best

5. Aveline de Grandpré

Aveline€™s last place position on this list may not be surprising anyone right now, but I actually think she€™s a decent character that€™s unfortunately just the victim of an uninspired and boring game. I love the fact that Aveline is a strong willed female protagonist that physically matches up to the best of the best assassins, and I also enjoyed her unconventional upbringing as the offspring of a French merchant father and slave mother. Assassin€™s Creed: Liberation as a narrative in a grander scheme just struggles to find a sense of worth and purpose. This constant internal struggle causes the narrative to never actually feel exciting but rather what we all feared Liberation would inevitably be; a game Sony tossed some money towards Ubisoft to make in an effort to give the Playstation Vita something worth playing. It€™s unfortunate for Aveline because with the production budget of an actual console experience, Ubisoft easily could have fleshed this tale out into something more.
