Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 - 10 Past Game-Breaking Issues That Must Be Fixed

10. Putting The Best Content Behind Paywalls

The absolute worst thing to happen to online gaming is paywalls, which have had a growing presence in CoD. Allowing someone to simply pay for a weapon that’s far more advantageous than others breaks the game's balance, and just becomes frustrating to constantly play against.

Ghosts’ Maverick assault rifle did good damage, with a strong fire rate and nearly no recoil. It was akin to a small buff on the better guns from that game, which effectively made it the best gun in its class.

Advanced Warfare features the Ohm, a hybrid shotgun and LMG. In LMG mode it can kill with three shots at almost any range, and is easy to control. In shotgun mode, it has decent range and damage, but is pushed over the top by the ridiculous amount of ammo you’re given for what's still a shotgun. With forty rounds (sixty with extended mags) you can turn a corner with this gun and sweep multiple enemies out of one spot with no difficulty. This is especially frustrating in Hardpoint, where you’ll often be trying to hold tight areas, and have little chance to counter or react.

Solution: Quit over-compensating with DLC guns. The Peacekeeper SMG from BO 2 and AE4 from Advanced Warfare were both fair. Any other DLC guns should be like these to not break the game's weapon balance.
