Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare - 12 Things Nobody Wants To Admit

11. Camping Isn't A Big Deal

By far the biggest complaint coming out of Modern Warfare's first couple weeks is the camping. The latest game certainly rewards playing smarter due to its low time to kill and weightier gunplay, and that has resulted in fewer run-and-gun approaches than in previous Call of Dutys.

However, there is a significant different between regular camping, camping a position, and just playing smart. Sure, the first example still exists, and there are people hiding in corners of rooms, but no more than in previous CODs. Likewise, it's arguably easier to deal with these idiots here because rooms have so many entry points.

Camping a position is a bit trickier. That's because in the latest COD, it seems like an intentional part of the game. Dominating matches comes from environmental advantages, like securing the high ground for instance, or the centre of the cave in Azhir Cave, that comes with its own pros and cons.

Camping has become a dirty word, but that type of behaviour is no less infuriating than the mindless run-and-gunning down three samey lanes that dominated previous games.
