9. Play On Devil Hunter Difficulty FIRST

Off the bat you'll have two difficulty modes: Human and Devil Hunter.

Though it's tempting to go for the easiest one just to see the story, Capcom have created DMC 5 to be many peoples' introduction to the franchise overall, and that means Human is incredibly easy.

For the best balance of challenge and reward, your first playthrough should be on Devil Hunter, knocking that up to Son of Sparda after your first playthrough. There are benefits to starting low and carrying your equipment through to another run, but I'll get onto those in a moment.
