Dota 2: 10 Heroes That Need A Rework

By Alexander Podgorski /

6. Aggron Stonebreaker The Ogre Magi

One of the few melee Intelligence Heroes, Ogre Magi makes up for this by being both incredibly bulky and very useful as a support caster. He can stun with enemies with €˜Fireblast€™, slow them with €˜Ignite€™, and increase the haste of himself and his allies with €˜Bloodlust€™. While these make for great support skills on their own, when combined with his Ultimate Ability, €˜Multicast€™, Ogre Magi becomes incredibly imbalanced. All of his abilities become incredibly dangerous once his Ultimate comes into play. All of his first abilities get increased damage and reduced cooldowns, and by level 3, there is a 12.5% chance for him to cast a spell 4 times in quick succession. But that isn€™t all. If he gets Aghanim€™s Scepter, he gains a whole new ability in €˜Unrefined Fireblast€™ which is almost identical to his regular €˜Fireblast€™, and is likewise affected by Multicast. In other words, he gains a whole new stun ability, which can stun for up to 6 seconds. These spell combinations make Ogre Magi an unbalanced support caster that is in dire need of a re-work to make him more manageable. Multicast needs to be re-worked so that Ogre doesn€™t weaken his enemies by such a considerable degree. One possible suggestion would be to remove €˜Unrefined Fireblast€™ being affected by the blue scepter, so that Ogre doesn€™t get the degree of stun power he currently possesses. Stuns are the most dangerous abilities in the game, so any single Hero that can hypothetically stun a single Hero for 12 seconds is way too overpowered.
