8. Beyond Good & Evil 2 Is Really Happening

It's been almost 15 years, and despite claims from creator Michel Ancel that Beyond Good and Evil 2 wouldn't be at E3 this year, the long-awaited sequel made a huge splash with its gorgeous CGI trailer, closing Ubisoft's conference with quite the bang.

The trailer was fairly vague but showed off a number of the game's characters, including a talking monkey and a villainous pig-thing, and cemented the game's tone as adult but also rather daft and humourous.

It was later confirmed that the game is in fact a prequel, which disappointed some, and will include co-op multiplayer. It's quite a leap from the original game, but after there was so much doubt about Beyond Good and Evil 2 even existing anymore, it's a relief (and a shock) to fans that it's definitely happening.
