7. Sony Refuses Cross-Play With Xbox One & Nintendo Switch
Nintendo revealed that not only would Rocket League be coming to the Switch, but that it will allow cross-play with both PC and Xbox One. Fantastic news, right? But what about PS4?
Various news outlets dug into this story following Nintendo's livestream and ended up with a rather pathetic response from Sony, a wishy-washy claim that they didn't allow cross-play in order to protect young players from "outside influences" on other gaming networks.
It's a lame excuse considering Nintendo, by far the most kid-friendly of the "big three", is on-board, and really just speaks to Sony not wanting to play ball when they're in first place by a huge margin.
It's understandable to a point from a business perspective, but still egregiously anti-consumer and rather disappointing given how well Sony has been doing lately.
