3. All The Missing Games

After a number of the prior E3 conferences failed to deliver the games fans were hoping to see, fingers were firmly crossed that many of these highly-anticipated games would end up showing during Sony's conference.

Sadly, that mostly wasn't the case.

A disappointingly high number of buzzed-about games were completely absent from Sony's show, therefore ensuring they completely sat out E3 this year: Square Enix's Avengers game, Rocksteady's rumoured Superman title, the new Splinter Cell, Mortal Kombat 11, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Shenmue and the MediEvil remake

Perhaps most alarming of all was Media Molecule's Dreams, which was used to create animated continuity segments between game reveals, but didn't actually appear in its own right (beyond a brief demo in the conference's post-show).

Sony made it clear they were focusing on four major games this year, but there was surely room for at least a few of these games to make an appearance, no? Incredibly disappointing.
