Who doesn't love some 2D Mario co-op action?

Strange to think that this is now a niche formula for the massive Mario series, yet it's a great way to blend retro platforming with modern puzzling and action. The recent Wii U iteration got slept on by everyone though (due to the dud of a console).

That won't stop Nintendo and their endless quest to port every worthy title from that DOA machine over to the successful Switch - so we're getting this enticing instalment finally.

Hopefully, it reaches the audience it deserves this time around; there's nothing like four-player co-op mixed with some retro Mario challenge.
